We are back from a week long Christmas Vacation to Shaver Lake. Last year as a whole family we decided to rent a cabin for the week of Christmas 2008. A year later the time finally arrived. What a great time we had. We spent days in the snow and nights playing games and just hanging out and enjoying each others company. I'm pretty sure I gained some pounds from all of the great food and yummy snacks that we all consumed. All of the cousins had a great time together playing the Wii, listening to storytime with Nana, searching for Santa with I Spy Santa, decorating cookies, making paper chains and popcorn strings for the tree, and just being together.

For the last couple of weeks before we left we have been hoping there would be snow while we were there. We definently had SNOW!! It was absolutely beautiful looking out the window and seeing the snow fall. I personally have never been in the falling snow. It was amazing.

Santa must have found the map that we left him because he definently visited all the kids! Christmas morning was wonderful exchanging gifts and the seeing kids enjoying all there new toys.

The week went by WAY to fast, and we left wishing we could have stayed a couple more days. The kids keep saying that next Christmas we are going to Disneyland then back to the cabin!! Here's to hoping!!! We missed Landon, Rebecca and the boys though, hopefully we can get together next year.

Happy 5th Birthday Jayden!!

Today we celebrate Jayden's 5th birthday. I found out I was pregnant with Jayden in quite an interesting way. I was supposed to have my gall bladder removed, and I was at the hospital all ready for the surgery. The doctor came in the room and informed me that the surgery would need to be postponed due to the fact that I was pregnant!! WHAT?!?! That took Jared and I both by complete surprise. =) But, what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be!
Jayden sure is a special child. On one hand he is a wild, hyper active and energetic child. Then on the other hand he is a sweet, tender hearted and sensitive boy. With him we truly get the best of both. This last year Jayden has blossomed so much. He is doing another year of preschool and is getting alot of confidence in himself in the classroom. He is eager to learn and is very smart. He loves his brothers and sister and is always willing to give up something he has to give to them.
Jayden, we love you so much and are blessed to have you in our family! Happy Birthday Buddy!!

Jayden's birth is also special, because it is shared with his Papa. Happy Birthday Mike..you are such a wonderful man. You are an amazing husband, father, father-in-law, and Papa. As a wife to your son and a mother to your grandson, I will be happy if they become half the man you are! Happy Birthday...We love you!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Logan!!

Three years ago today I was in the hospital holding my new little angel boy Logan! It was definitely a surprise to me that I was holding a boy, because I was more than 100% sure that the baby was going to be a girl! (Jared and I choose not to find out what the baby was, because we already had a girl and a boy!) Boy, was my mothers instinct wrong!! =) Fast forward three years, and I couldn't be happier that Logan joined our family. Logan is such a funny little guy. He's a little (ok, ALOT) mischievous and is always getting into something. But, it's hard to be mad at him because his sweet little face justs melts my heart. This last year has been so fun to see his personality develop! He has become quite the chatterbox!

I'm so grateful that I was choosen to be Logan's mother. He truly is a blessing to our family! We love you Logan, Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Anniversary...Part Two

Today Jared and I celebrate another wonderful anniversary. Four years ago today, Jared and I entered the temple and were sealed for time and all eternity. Kaitlin and Jayden then were sealed to us, to make us an eternal family. What a special day that was..one I will never forget.

Jared, I'm so glad I get you all to myself for time and all eternity. You are an amazing husband and father. You always ask what made me attracted to you, and my answer would be....EVERYTHING! It's hard to explain, but I was just drawn to you...cue music-the circle of our love is found in every warm and tender thing! haha

Happy Anniversary!

Well I have hijacked the blog today to tell my wife Happy Anniversary! Wow I can't believe it has been seven years of marriage and nine since we started dating. Brianne you are beautiful in so many ways, from being the most loving mother, to being able to understand and love me like no one else could. As I have said many times you are the MOST BEAUTIFUL woman i have ever known, even when you wake up in the middle of the night you have that "how do you look good even now" type of beauty.

Bri you have such a sincere love for our children, myself and our family. For many years you have kept me grounded and have made me realize (slowly but surely) that being kind and loving to people can take you so much further in life. I love that you get me...you know my sarcastic inside jokes, you know when I am pulling your chain and you know how to always make me fell better.
